About Rev Jim Beidle

I’m Jim Beidle, and I love weddings. Since 2016, I have had the privilege of officiating ceremonies for couples throughout the Pacific Northwest. I live in Snohomish County and frequently travel from Pierce County to the Canadian border to help couples celebrate one of the most meaningful moments of their lives.

Every wedding is different because every couple is different. Some ceremonies are quiet and intimate. Others are joyful gatherings filled with laughter and music. I work with couples from many backgrounds and traditions, and the ceremony should reflect the relationship, values, and story of the two people getting married. Whether a couple approaches marriage through faith, family tradition, or their own shared path, the ceremony should feel authentic to them.

Over the years, I have learned that a thoughtful ceremony does not happen by accident. It grows out of conversation, reflection, and preparation. I work with couples to think about the promises they are making, the readings they might include, and the tone they want their ceremony to have. Some couples write deeply personal vows; others prefer a more traditional structure, and many blend elements of both. My goal is to guide that process so the ceremony feels natural, meaningful, and unmistakably your own.

After over two years of training and development, Volunteers of America ordained me in 2013. That is where my ministry background began. Since then, I have served as an ordained minister and wedding officiant throughout the Pacific Northwest. Volunteers of America has served communities across the United States since 1896, helping people who face difficult circumstances build healthy and stable lives. That spirit of service continues to shape the way I approach weddings and the couples I work with.

I’m Also Santa Jim

Santa arrives for a Navy event.

Outside of weddings, many people know me as Santa Jim. My resemblance to a certain famous holiday figure is intentional, and I have been bringing Christmas cheer to families, organizations, and community events since 2012.

I love the Christmas season. The lights, the music, the smell of sugar cookies and hot cocoa, and the laughter of children all remind us how powerful celebration can be. Weddings carry the same spirit of joy and shared happiness. Both moments bring people together to celebrate something meaningful.

From time to time, couples even choose to combine the two and have a Christmas wedding ceremony. When they do, it can feel like stepping into a scene from a Victorian holiday celebration, surrounded by warmth, light, and the promise of a new life together.
