Wedding Details
Consultations
Our consultations are Zoom meetings to discuss your ideas and design your ceremony. After signing, we must have a minimum of one consultation to ensure I meet your needs.

Certificate Preparation
This mandatory session is the time required to prepare your license packet for the County Auditor’s office. Certificate preparation requires two adult witnesses. Preparing your license happens in five steps.
- You apply for your license with one of Washington’s county auditors. If you both can go in person, you usually receive the packet on the same day. It’s also possible to apply over the Internet or by mail.
- We discuss the paperwork that the County Auditor provides you, usually in a Zoom session a few days before your wedding.
- We complete and sign the Marriage Certificate and related paperwork at your wedding. Please be aware that if we must set a separate appointment, I charge additional time and travel.*
- I send the completed certificate application to the County Auditor.
- I follow up with your county auditor to ensure they register your marriage and send your copies.
Conducting the certificate preparation over Zoom is possible. However, it adds additional prep time and postage.
If the certificate package is not present at the wedding, I will conduct a symbolic ceremony; it isn’t a legal marriage. We set an appointment to complete your certificate on another date within the range of your license. Rescheduling incurs an additional one-hour charge for my time, plus a travel fee to the signing location, and is not subject to discounts.

Wedding Ceremony
This ceremony is part of all full wedding packages. For your wedding, I prepare and officiate a personal ceremony. I customize the style with research into your theme and additional consultations. The ceremony specification includes up to five hours of research and editing. We end with the ritual and words, and the time to perform your perfect ceremony.

Elopement Ceremony
An Elopement Ceremony is the simplest of the ceremonies, and is only available as part of an elopement package. It is an “Out of the Box” ceremony that includes one hour of editing to include your names and preferences. The price comprises preparing, editing, and performing your ceremony.

Ceremony Rehearsal
Based on the ceremony I’ve written, I facilitate the rehearsal, helping everyone to understand their part. The cost includes 1 hour of prep time and 1.5 hours to perform. You must schedule the rehearsal at the time of signing; I will guarantee attendance at your rehearsal.

Remembrance Ceremony
Honor the memory of those who aren’t present. At the beginning of your wedding, we take a moment to remember those loved ones whose death, illness, or inability to travel keeps them from attending.

Many couples look forward to writing their vows. And when you have that blank page before you, the task suddenly becomes daunting! With this feature, you have access to my four-module, 8-hour course that leads you through writing your vows. Also included are two hours of editing and two one-hour consultations to produce your best work. I include this course with all complete wedding packages.

Holy Communion
Celebrate the beginning of your married life with the Christian tradition of the Lord’s Supper. I adapt the observance to a form you are comfortable experiencing. The cost includes producing the ritual and providing fresh elements for up to 100 participants. Each additional group of 50 participants incurs an additional charge, calculated during the quote. Gluten-free is available on request.

Themed Wedding
Invite Santa Claus to officiate your ceremony and mingle with your guests at the reception. St. Nicholas brings special joy and laughter to wedding ceremonies in the holiday season and year-round!
I have been portraying Santa professionally since 2012 at parties and corporate events throughout Puget Sound. A member of IBRBS, I have continuously worked on my performance and portrayal of the “right jolly old elf” that will lighten the hearts of your Scroogiest friends.
If you are planning for a holiday wedding, book Santa by August 31st. My Christmas schedule fills rapidly, so move quickly to secure your date.
I have other themes and portrayals, too. Fantasy, Middle Ages, Pirate, Western; you name it! So, if you want a 13th Century Ionian Monk, a wizard, or a Sea Captain to officiate, let’s talk!

Additional Costs
Travel and accommodation allow me to serve you at your chosen venue, whether it’s the beach at Kayak Point in Snohomish County, the fairy gardens of the Hoh Rainforest, or the stunning vistas of Artist Point. Outside my immediate area, I charge a nominal fee per mile round-trip and require reimbursement for fares, parking, and tolls. Overnight visits require accommodation at a clean, modern hotel.
When required, I include the travel calculations in our agreement. We discuss those fees during our discovery call.
